Phosphate Mines Leads in Value and Volume on Amman Stock Exchange on Wednesday

amman alaan – Jordan Phosphate Mines topped the list of the most active stocks by value on the Amman Stock Exchange during Wednesday’s session, with trading value reaching 14.85 million JOD, followed by the Islamic Bank of Jordan with a trading value of 1.83 million JOD.
Jordan Telecommunications Company came third with trading of 1.25 million JOD, followed by Jordan Petroleum Refinery “Jopetrol” with 1.08 million JOD, while Arab Bank ranked fifth with a trading value of 930.88 thousand JOD.
In terms of the most active stocks by volume, Jordan Phosphate Mines retained the top spot with 512.8 thousand shares traded, followed by the Islamic Bank of Jordan with 385.78 thousand shares, and Jordan Telecommunications Company with 351.38 thousand shares.
Investors also traded 330.15 thousand shares of Cairo Amman Bank, with Jordan Petroleum Refinery – Jopetrol ranking fifth with 157.78 thousand shares.
The Amman Stock Exchange general index closed today up by 0.06% at 3,643.4 points, adding 2.15 points compared to Tuesday’s close.
This performance was supported by a 0.26% rise in the services sector index, while the financial sector index increased by 0.14%. On the other hand, the industrial sector index declined by 0.62%.
Trading volume fell to 3.69 million shares compared to 3.92 million shares in the previous session, while trading value rose to 23.13 million JOD compared to 20.21 million JOD in yesterday’s session.
