Conclusion of the First Group Activities of the “Women in Dialogue” Program in Bani Kinanah District
Amman now – The Future Pioneers for Empowering Communities (FPEC), in partnership with the German Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), concluded the activities of the first group of the “Women in Dialogue (WiD) 2026” program in Al-Mukhaybah Al-Tahta, Bani Kinanah District, through the implementation of the “Town Hall” session, which marked the final stage of an intensive ten-day training program aimed at empowering women and enhancing their social and economic participation.
The session was attended by Eng. Rawya Al-Gharaibeh, Chairperson of the Khalid Bin Al-Waleed Municipality Committee; Fadwa Al-Sarhan, Head of the Associations Department at the Directorate of Social Development in Bani Kinanah District; Mohammad Malkawi, Director of Yarmouk Nature Reserve; businessman Shibli Al-Basharat; as well as a number of representatives from the local community and the private sector.
The meeting was also attended by several community leaders and supporters of social initiatives, including Dr. Muwaffaq Bishara, Eng. Majdi Bishara, and Mohammad Hassan Al-Hardan, owner of Al-Hardan Pools and Resort. They commended the achievements of the women during the training program and expressed their readiness to provide support and assistance to enhance the participants’ economic and social empowerment.
During the session, participating women were given the opportunity to lead and manage parts of the meeting and present the outcomes of their work. This step aimed to strengthen their presentation, communication, self-confidence, and leadership skills. The participants demonstrated a remarkable level of personal and professional development achieved throughout the training period.
Prior to the meeting, the program team conducted a survey involving twenty participating women to identify the main needs, challenges, and opportunities within the area. The survey focused on exploring developmental and economic opportunities that could be invested in and built upon, rather than focusing solely on challenges. Based on the survey findings, a comprehensive presentation was prepared and delivered by the participants before the audience, highlighting the key findings, recommendations, and proposals developed throughout the program.
The session witnessed positive engagement from the attending stakeholders. Mr. Mohammad Hassan Al-Hardan announced his willingness to support women producers by allocating a permanent space and dedicated corner throughout the year for displaying and selling their products, thereby enhancing marketing opportunities and improving income for beneficiary families. Other stakeholders also expressed their readiness to provide support, networking opportunities, and future cooperation, with follow-up activities to be conducted through field visits and coordination meetings in the coming period.
As part of strengthening cooperation with the private sector, the management of the hotel hosting the event confirmed its readiness to collaborate with participating women and support their projects and products by providing opportunities for promotion, marketing, and participation in future activities and events organized by the hotel. This cooperation aims to expand the beneficiary base, create new opportunities for local women-led projects, and enhance sustainability and women’s economic empowerment.
In this context, Project Manager Yusra Al-Jaabari emphasized that the program is not limited to training only but focuses on creating real and sustainable opportunities for participating women. She noted that Future Pioneers for Empowering Communities and the Hanns Seidel Foundation will continue supporting women, developing their skills, and enhancing their economic and social empowerment opportunities through community partnerships and networking with relevant stakeholders.
Al-Jaabari added that the organization continuously strives to ensure the success of its training programs and community initiatives through close follow-up with participants and cooperation with various local partners and supporting entities, driven by its belief in the importance of investing in women’s capacities and empowering them to play an active role in the development of their communities. She also stressed the organization’s commitment to supporting any initiative that contributes to serving the local community, addressing its needs, and transforming ideas and proposals into practical opportunities and projects that generate positive and sustainable impact.
For her part, Program Coordinator Eng. Sajida Al-Khudrawi explained that the program provided an opportunity to discover numerous talents and capabilities among the participating women. She noted that the achievements of the first group reflect the significant contributions that women in the region can make when provided with adequate training and support. She further pointed out that the participants themselves presented the survey findings before the audience, with the objective of strengthening their self-confidence and enhancing their communication and dialogue skills.
Al-Khudrawi also indicated that she contributed to preparing the presentation and mentoring participants during the preparation phase, in addition to coordinating with participating entities and attendees to ensure the success of the “Town Hall” meeting and the achievement of its objectives. She confirmed that the organization will continue following up on the outcomes of the meeting and working with relevant partners to capitalize on the cooperation opportunities that emerged from it.
Lawyer Rawya Al-Masaeed also contributed as a trainer in the program by delivering training sessions and building participants’ capacities. She worked on equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills in dialogue, communication, and community participation, while providing guidance and support throughout the program period. This was positively reflected in the participants’ engagement, self-confidence, and active involvement during the “Town Hall” session.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a post-event evaluation survey was conducted among participants to measure the impact of the session and assess the networking outcomes achieved with attending stakeholders. The survey also identified women who had secured direct support or cooperation opportunities and established a follow-up plan for those requiring further networking and empowerment support during the next phase.
Future Pioneers for Empowering Communities extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Al-Mukhaybah Al-Tahta Association, represented by Mr. Khaled Al-Mahamdeh and Mr. Ali Al-Basharat, for their significant cooperation and continuous support in ensuring the success of the program and facilitating the implementation of its activities in the area. The organization also thanks the management of the hosting hotel for their hospitality and willingness to support women and their projects, as well as all governmental, community, and private-sector entities that expressed readiness to contribute to women’s empowerment and support.
This meeting represents one of the key outcomes of the first group of the “Women in Dialogue” Program for 2026. Program activities will continue in the coming period in Bani Kinanah and Bani Obeid Districts as part of the current implementation plan, with the aim of enhancing women’s participation in local development and fostering positive change within their communities.
It is worth noting that the organization began implementing the program three years ago in the Northern Jordan Valley District before expanding its implementation to Bani Kinanah and Bani Obeid Districts in Irbid Governorate. The program will continue over the next three years with the objective of empowering women, promoting community dialogue, and building bridges of communication between women, governmental institutions, decision-makers, and the private sector.
