Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee hosts Turkish delegation to enhance bilateral cooperation

Amman Now- The Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee hosted a high-level Turkish delegation led by Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Turkish Parliament, and the Turkish Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Yaqub Oğlu.
The meeting discussed the depth of Jordanian-Turkish relations and ways to further strengthen cooperation at various levels. It emphasized the importance of building on the solid political and economic partnership between the two countries, strengthening parliamentary cooperation, and expanding coordination on regional and international issues in a manner that serves mutual interests.
Both sides reaffirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause, the importance of supporting the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and the need to intensify international efforts to halt ongoing attacks and violations against the Palestinian people.
The discussions also addressed opportunities to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, education, and culture, in a way that strengthens bilateral relations, supports regional stability, and opens broader horizons for partnership between Jordan and Türkiye.
