Amman Alaan -The Eastern Military Zone on Saturday foiled two attempts to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics within its area of responsibility using electronically guided balloons.
Border Guard units, in coordination with the security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected the balloons through surveillance and downed them, the Jordan Armed Forces –Arab Army (JAF) said.
The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities for necessary legal action.
